Twitter (Week 6)

 Twitter is a social media platform where one tweets/post what is on their mind. Twitter is also used to communicate with others. Twitter is a big social media platform to communicate with others and spread awareness what is going on around the world. Twitter is also used to advertise products and services. Twitter is made up of a profile that one creates by creating a Twitter. This Twitter account is then made up of people following and followers. One chooses who to follow. The people who one follows is what ones news feed will be made up of other users that tweet out posts. Twitter is used by many celebrities and actors as such as large corporations. Twitter is used to communicate with others. A tweet consists of 3 components. One can either click on the heart for liking it. The other component is retweeting it. Retweeting is gets a little complicated due to it re-posts that tweet on your twitter showing it to all ones followers. The retweet option also gives one an option to quote tweet the tweet. The quote retweet is where one is given the option to retweet the tweet and give a quick 160 character comment above attached to the tweet.

The way Twitter is built makes the world spin. Twitter gives options in its mobile app to have either a dark mode or light mode of displaying the app. Twitter spends lots of money to improve its service. Twitter is also a great exposure to get famous or even gain followers or attention. Twitter can be used as a marketing strategy to connect people to ones website or product/service. Popular memes happen on twitter than spread and go viral rapidly over night. A tweet on twitter can reach a millions of people in less than seconds. It is a great platform to get familiar with and to explore to use in ones marketing strategy.
