Level 2 ADAPT (Week 14)

 

         AI is Short for Artificial Intelligence. AI is prone to take over jobs. Yes, AI  will take over jobs but will also open more jobs for the human. AI isn't just Automation but more than just Automation. Robots will be doing all the heavy labor a human does not like doing. Todd Kelsey talks about some job experiences hes had in the field of marketing. The outcomes of the jobs is that some were honestly plain out boring that made one do repetitive things. Others involved him to be a Coder. The way each job was he had to adapt to the job environment depending how boring the job was for him.

 

 

        One of the things that pops up again is Google Adwords. Google Adwords is used for advertising. One can Google search a keyword and that Google search will pop up millions of Google searches with advertisements. The advertisements are the ones that are paying Google to pop up on those Google searches. This Advertising form helps one out to get a certain product or service out in the world. 

 

Level 1 Adapt ( Weak 13)

         This brings up to closer and closer to getting a certificate for this course. This Social media course brings one closer to finding new skills to adapt. This brings be back to social media posting is checking everyone in the courses post. It is fine to check other peoples post to see if one can improve ideas in what to look for in social media marketing. The idea is to grab someones attention to advertise a product or service. In my case I am trying to grab the attention of others through my blogs. One post blogs every week in a LinkedIn group that has posts every week to comment ones blog link to show everyone in the course how to grab attention or to share ideas.

 

        One has to adapt to improving one social media content. Once one has improved these skills then one should form a habit to make things happen. A habit takes 21 days to make it a habit. It helps a lot with ones life to adapt. The chapter was shown as a book with chapters within the chapters and a prologue and conclusion to end it off.

If You Need Convincing To Take Action (Week 12)

        The chapter gave a optimist look on the material that was covered in this book. This focused on optimist and pessimist and realist. The optimist view is focused and good.The pessimist view is compared to a glass of water that is half empty while the optimist view is half full. This chapter made the views clear. One would become dizzy from so much information taking in for the several links that were displayed in the chapter. The last view that was discussed was the realist view. The realist view is the glass of water that is half empty or half full is just a glass of water. 

 

        The way one will look at this is to be a realist. The book urges one to be a realist. The realist way is the best way one can look at things. This then leads to AI to be viewed as in innovated device. One should not worry about the Artificial Intelligence.  The book list a lot of links that ends with a sub section of the chapter that asks if one is dizzy fro all the information one has taken in.

What is AI up to these days? (Week 11)

         This 2nd chapter of the book is giving a demonstration on how to use google maps. Google maps are a great way to view property. It might not be a live picture but it is an actual picture of the property. IT depends on the area but some are almost up to date. There are Google cars taking pictures of roads and properties everyday driving around.  The Google car has to drive around in under controlled conditions. The car is self driven but due to areas that are new or under construction these cars have to be driven to bypass these roads. The camera is usually on top the the car as a 360 view to capture everything in while in motion.

        The end of the chapter talked mostly about learning code. It is never to late to learn code. It is tricky to learn code since it takes a lot of algorithm to code. There are lots of functions and formulas to remember and one needs almost a cheat cheat sheet to remember these functions if one isn't good at remembering every little function.

Why AI (Week 10)

    This week is an interesting week since one is moving on to new books. The book I am about to introduce is about a professor I am currently taking his course that introduced me to is called Surfing the Tsunami: An Introduction to Artificial Intelligence by Todd Kelsey. The book throws an introduction on what the chapters are about in each chapter. The introduction tells one a summary on what is the chapters mainly about and what one should be searching for in each chapter to focus on.  The book is well written on how it starts off in the beginning introduction. The robots are the main topic in the first chapter. Artificial Intelligence is the first thing started off in the first chapter. Artificial intelligence is a new innovation that is started by introducing robots how to do stuff like humans. In this case the video that was presented in the book a link will be posted at the bottom of this blog post.

        The chapter gave an introduction about Todd Kelsey's life. His life wasn't that successful. He went through ups and downs to get through his life. He became a Rock n Roll musician to a marketing major. He currently as of April 12th 2021 is a Marketing Professor. The chapter loses focus on him to talk more about him explaining the concepts of robots and how they are being developed 5 years ago.

Social Media Monitoring and Analytics (Week 9)

        Social media monitoring and analytics is an interesting chapter in the Book that was written by Todd Kelsey called Introduction to Social Media Marketing. The focus goes into social media marketing in monitoring graphs and numbers that are rising and falling. The main objective is to pay attention to sudden changes. One can access the account through Hootsuite. The Website provides courses in training one in these areas of interest. The way Hootsuite works it monitors everything in the social media accounts connected. The site provides percentages of numbers being monitored depending on the variable. The variable is something like fans, likes, and followers. There is more into depth to be searching in social media marketing. 

 

        The way marketing is shown is that one can market different type of ways in social media. The way this works one can Google or Bing or even Yahoo a word in quotations and include a social media one wants to search specifically. If one wants to be exact in searches, then one uses a quotations marks between the words searching for exact. One website that can be used is socialmention.com that can make searches more possible to search for in this website. This website deals with just social media.

Hootsuite (Week 8)

        Hootsuite is a social media platform where one controls ones social media. Hootsuite divides the social media networks into different accounts linked back to Hootsuite. Hootsuite basically tells one the traffic going on in the social media account that is linked to Hootsuite. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram are basic social media amounts that can be linked to Hootsuite that can access marketing information on those accounts.

         

         Hootsuite can be easily accessed on Hootsuite.com. One signs up on Hootsuite and enters the basic information needed to create an account. Once one has created an account, then one can access these features. One may or may not need to pay for the access to these features. Hootsuite was created to have a control on one's social media account. Hootsuite makes life easier and makes everything traceable to monitor. Once these features are accessed, then one may be able to access graphs on activity of social media accounts connected to

Hootsuite.

 

 

        Hootsuite is one of those platforms that provides information to improve learning in the marketing industry. It is great to stay frequent and check often to see what is new going on in this platform. One can create posts for others to view too. The way Hootsuite works is it is a universal platform. An All in One to monitor and track everything to market in social media.  

LinkedIn (Week 7)

         LinkedIn is a new ways in growing and applying for jobs. It is simple to create a LinkedIn account. One just goes to LinkedIn.com and signs up to create an account. It is important to update ones LinkedIn account periodically. Even if it is once a month or once every two months. It is important to take ones time to update LinkedIn profile. There are sites where tips are given to create a more entertaining profile for attracting viewers for potential job opportunities. One creates connections with people who one might not even know on this website. This is a social media for businesses to connect with one another.  It improves life's with building more connections with people one interacts with in the business life. LinkedIn has options to create post as even advertise on the website. One of LinkedIn's options that is available is job searching. It will direct one to jobs available in the region one is looking for and may or may not direct one to a 3rd party website that is not LinkedIn to apply. LinkedIn is very safe to use and gives one the option to interact with people in the job community.

Twitter (Week 6)

 Twitter is a social media platform where one tweets/post what is on their mind. Twitter is also used to communicate with others. Twitter is a big social media platform to communicate with others and spread awareness what is going on around the world. Twitter is also used to advertise products and services. Twitter is made up of a profile that one creates by creating a Twitter. This Twitter account is then made up of people following and followers. One chooses who to follow. The people who one follows is what ones news feed will be made up of other users that tweet out posts. Twitter is used by many celebrities and actors as such as large corporations. Twitter is used to communicate with others. A tweet consists of 3 components. One can either click on the heart for liking it. The other component is retweeting it. Retweeting is gets a little complicated due to it re-posts that tweet on your twitter showing it to all ones followers. The retweet option also gives one an option to quote tweet the tweet. The quote retweet is where one is given the option to retweet the tweet and give a quick 160 character comment above attached to the tweet. 

 

 

The way Twitter is built makes the world spin. Twitter gives options in its mobile app to have either a dark mode or light mode of displaying the app. Twitter spends lots of money to improve its service. Twitter is also a great exposure to get famous or even gain followers or attention. Twitter can be used as a marketing strategy to connect people to ones website or product/service. Popular memes happen on twitter than spread and go viral rapidly over night. A tweet on twitter can reach a millions of people in less than seconds. It is a great platform to get familiar with and to explore to use in ones marketing strategy.

Facebook Ads (Week 5)

 Facebook has been growing over the years. Facebook is a great social media to advertise ones product and service. Lot of people all over the world go on Facebook. It was a great platform to communicate and keep up to date with people. The world has been moving rapidly these last 15 years since the first Iphone was introduced by Apple back in 2006. As we keep moving forward the next years, companies try to cut down waste and make the world a cleaner place. Newspapers were a great form of advertisement. Newspapers have died down due to the internet. Newspapers would be the source where everyone would find out news and ads for stuff that is local for sale or news that is happening around the world. Newspapers are still around but not as common as they use to be. Now a days we have the internet that replaced newspaper in a cleaner way for the environment. The world is growing and world pollution is increasing rapidly as well. The internet is making the world a cleaner place in replacing newspapers. Yes it does cut out the delivery man a job but opens more jobs up. We now see that the Facebook has advertisement in its social media. This advertisement might be based upon what one looks up or geo location of the area one is in. The whole goal for Facebook is to spread the word. Communication is the biggest part of Facebook what it revolves around. As Facebook continues to grow it adds new sections to its social media. The fact that Facebook is great platform to advertise products and services.

Facebook Pages (Week 4)

         Facebook is a growing networking page. Facebook started off as a networking site for college students to socialize on the internet. Facebook later became bigger to become a top social media site for the world. Facebook has changed many lives. Facebook has profiles of people that one creates to socialize with people. Facebook has a messenger app to talk to people over chat. Facebook has groups that usually consist of forums for information connecting other people of certain topics. Facebook recently has been developing a marketplace for people to buy and sell items on their page. Facebook also has created pages to create a business profile for businesses. These pages are good for advertising since one can reach people across the world in a single click to promote a service or item. One can also create geo-location advertisement on Facebook to target certain areas for ones service and product depending on what type of audience one wants to reach. The way Facebook has grown is incredible. 

 

        Mark Zuckerberg is one famous guy next to Tom Anderson who created MySpace before Facebook became popular. Social media has impacted the world tremendously. One can communicate with family members and friends around the world. Facebook advertises a lot and has sponsored ads on their page. Creating a Facebook page is simple. It’s simply creating and setting up information that is required for the page. The page has a cover photo and a profile picture of your choosing. These photos are usually logos of the business or something that catches the viewers attention. Once everything is created one can make the url link shorter or custom so it is not long and tedious for people to look up ones page.  Ones page will start to generate likes. The more likes on ones page then the more it will pop up higher on the search bar on Facebook.
